About Rafiki Yangu
Rafiki Yangu’s mission is to support those in need, create connections and build positive relationships with our community. We want to help children, families, individuals who could really use some extra support, recognition and guidance.
Our Story
Rafiki Yangu means ‘my friend’ in Swahili, and is at the core of what we strive to be. A friend, support, connection. Members of our team were fortunate enough to travel to Africa and this term ‘Rafiki Yangu’ has always resonated with them.
Rafiki Yangu started as an idea to support children and families who often fall through the cracks of society, but we have since evolved! Rafiki Yangu is now a not-for-profit organization determined to make a positive impact in the lives of others through three separate programs: Hardship Support, Creating Connections and Positive Initiatives.
“It is in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it.” – Nelson Mandela
